The Conference on Aperiodic Crystals is the flagship meeting of the Commission on Aperiodic Crystals (CAC) and the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr). This international conference highlights the current state of the art research in aperiodic crystals, with topics including aperiodic structures such as modulated structures, quasicrystals and approximants, magnetic structures, mathematics and symmetry, physical properties, and diffraction methods. These proceedings contain abstracts from the 9th conference on Aperiodic Crystals, which was held at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa from July 8–13, 2018.
