The Pleistocene deposit reported here was discovered after my two papers on the Pleistocene land snails of Mississippi were published (Sterkiana 3: 11-14; 8: 1-11). This locality is a silt deposit on Muddy Creek, beneath the bridge, 3 miles northwest of Bovina, Warren County, Mississippi. It contains large numbers of aquatic snails, of which Aanicola integra (Say) is the dominant species, fossil wood and spruce needles, and ostracods. The land snails were not well preserved, and most of the larger shells were reduced to unidentifiable fragments .
