Malacologists and paleontologists working in our larger institutions are only faintly aware of the difficulties faced by those who do not have a large library in their immediate vicinity. For the convenience of those who are faced with such library problems, Sterkiana is attempting to reprint articles in its field that are difficult of access for one reason or other.
