Abstract

The look, Origami, was created to address our client's body insecurities and accomodate her specific garment needs. Our client, who has undergone multiple surgeries including a bilateral mastectomy and reconstructive procedures, faces challenges in finding clothing that fits well and offers support due to changes in her body size and shape. Sensitive skin further complicates her clothing choices, necessitating a preference for natural fibers over synthetics. Inspired by the art of origami, that transforms 2D into 3D forms, we drew from the innovative approaches of designers like Issey Miyake and Hiroaki Ohya, who incorporate functional and aritistic elements into their designs.

Keywords: Tunic, Pleats, Geometry, Breast Cancer
