Mocha and Cream

Abstract

Mocha and Cream is a satin gown created in a two-toned rich brown color. The gown was inspired by the work of Charles James and developed using the draping method with a flowing train that trails on the floor. The bodice is made of mocha satin into an asymmetrical cowl with empire waistline. The skirt is a linear tube with an over-sized godet inserted into one seam line. This insert can trail on the floor or can be wrapped up over the body to create a variety of configurations. The gown has a minimal influence with a feminine elegance and tends to elongate the body while pulling focus to the face and shoulder area.
