Doing Business in Europe

Abstract

Over the past few years, the US has tended to see the EU as "fortress Europe." I think an architectural metaphor would be more useful. The outsider wishing to do business inEurope faces three legal structures. First are the 15 national legal systems. Secondly, there is the expanding courtyard of common regulation at the EU level.
