A fitted pant was created in 3D design software (CLO 5.0) which is refer to the body size from 71 samples, to find the size difference by compared with the prototype produced by the basic structure method. It was found that the young female was underweight and the proportion of Y body type was higher than the Chinese National Standard Size system. It proved that the waist, hip, abdominal, and thigh were the main factors influencing their body shape and fitting. Solutions to provide good fit may include creating sizing for a subset of young Chinese female consumers and developing custom-fit methods.
