The Iowa State University Digital Press supports the publication of open textbooks through Pressbooks. Pressbooks is an easy-to-use web-based authoring tool based on Wordpress that creates mobile-friendly web books, with options to export in PDF and EPUB formats.

In order to get a new open textbook set up in Pressbooks, submit the Pressbooks Set Up Form.

The Scholarly Publishing Services Librarian will review the form, contact you with any questions, and then create the book and set up accounts for all listed authors and editors. You'll receive an email from Pressbook with a link to verify your account. Click that link to get started!
